The International Research Center IRC2D invites applications for postdoctoral positions to conduct research on "Natural Disasters and Sustainable Development". The CERDI can host these young researchers.
The ICR2D program funds research projects on the socio-economic consequences of disasters in developing countries and issues related to vulnerability and resilience. The research can be based on innovative data and/or methods used in data science. While not excluding other regions, this work typically focuses on countries in the Global South.
Additionally, IRC2D encourages collaborative and multidisciplinary research. In this context, CERDI collaborates with Clermont-based research centres in social sciences and earth sciences on projects dealing with the impacts of natural disasters, vulnerability, or risk adaptation in countries in the Global South.
Qualifications: Doctor in social sciences with substantial knowledge of Earth and/or climate sciences and/or data science.
