Research projects
Our ongoing research projects led by a team member:
- INEG RISK, Natural risk, Economic inequalities and prevention behaviours. The LAPSCO and the CERDI combine their expertise in behaviour studies and poverty, respectively, to study how income distribution impacts how populations prepare for natural disasters and their ability to rebuild their life afterwards.
- TEFISCON, Tax Expenditures and the FIScal CONtract.
- Air pollution and mass media in China: A big data project.
- DLISCES: Deep Learning, Satellite Images, Information Fusion and Applications in Disaster Risk Reduction
- ECOTERM, a research project to evaluate the ecological role of termite mounds on rice producers in Cambodia.
- FISCAID: Tax behaviors, aid, and decentralization in Uganda. An international research project led by the Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) to evaluate the impact of aid on public finances and aid effectiveness. This program, funded by the ANR, was launched in 2024 for a duration of 4 years. It also aims to evaluate the impact of aid on health.
- PAIRES projects. The CERDI conduct two research programs funded by the The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) Group and the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development, IRD. The PAIRES project aims at supporting impact evaluations on development programs in partnership with scientific institutions in the Global South.
- New forms of transactional sex in secondary schools in Madagascar
- An impact study of the healthcare prepayment system on the use of maternal services and the effects on maternal and newborn mortality in Cameroon.
- WHITECYCLE, a European program led by Michelin. The consortium aims to develop a circular solution to transform complex textile-based plastic waste into high-value products.
