Abstract

Cities are grappling with a multitude of problems, needing to balance the social and economic needs of their residents while keeping within environmental limits. As the nodes of economic and social life, they are increasingly the problem and the solution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Hindered by siloed and fractured decision-making, we propose a broad-scope integrated model based on System Dynamics that breaks across these silos in order to study these problems and develop solutions.
