Camille da Piedade is now a strategic analyst at the IFC, a World Bank Group institution focusing on the private sector in developing countries.

Camille Da Piedade is joining the International Finance Corporation as a strategic analyst this month. He is already working with the IFC teams as a consultant for the Economics and Private Sector Development Vice President.

Camille is a specialist on the development of the private sector. He will collaborate on the evaluation and design of policies that will strengthen firms and increase jobs in developing countries.

Camille da Piedade is about to defend his PhD thesis at the Université Clermont Auvergne. Patrick Plane, CNRS Director of research, supervised his investigation on the private sector in developing countries.

He was a Research Assistant at the FERDI, where he worked on the economic integration of African countries into the global economy. He contributed to several articles and policy briefs on international trade and competitiveness. Besides, he developed an application to measure the economic strengths and weaknesses of a large panel of African countries

Previously, he served as a research consultant at the Banque de France, and as a Research Analyst at the World Food Program and the French Agency AFD. He obtained his Master's Degree in Development Economics from the School of Economics, Université d'Auvergne.
