Governance in natural resources management, and resource revenue mobilization: Assessing the effects of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI)

12 pm: Rachid Pafadnam will present his research project on the relationship between the promotion of transparency and accountability in extractive resource management and resource revenue mobilization.

In this paper, he aims to assess the effectiveness of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in promoting better resource revenue mobilization in developing countries

Samuel Guérineau supervises his PhD work on the economics of resource-rich countries. In his thesis, Rachid analyses the governance, the quality of the institutions and development financing in these countries.

Migration and the epidemiological approach: when history matters

12.30 pm: Melchior Clerc will discuss his ongoing work on migrants and development. 

He is working with Simone Bertoli, Jordan Loper and Èric Roca Fernández (CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne) to explore the epidemiological approach limits and how to overcome them. 

Melchior Clerc aims to determine the factors and the implications of household composition and its variations in developing countries in his PhD thesis.
