ICDE Conference 2022: The program is online!
The 2022 edition organized by the Cerdi will focus on the socio-economic, political, and environmental challenges of the 21st century.
The Cerdi - a research center dedicated to the study of the processes of economic development - will host the 2022 International Conference on Development Economics (ICDE) scheduled on June 30th-July 1st in Clermont Ferrand.
This conference is the first scientific event organized by the AFEDEV, the French Association on Development Economics. Founded in January 2022, the association aims at promoting research on international economics and development issues in France.
Rabah Arezki (The World Bank Group), Jean-Marie Baland (University of Namur) and Sylvie Lambert (Paris School of Economics) speakers will give keynotes at the conference.
Over a hundred researchers and experts coming from all over the world will debate on the latest research in economics. They will discuss the innovative research projects on the socio-economic and political issues and also the environmental challenges encountered by the least developed countries. This will be the starting point for new joint projects and new partnerships.
Specific topics of interest include poverty, inequalities, health, education, climate change, environment, agriculture, taxation, labor, monetary policy, and conflicts.
This event is sponsored by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), UK Aid, and the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD). The conference is also funded by the Université Clermont Auvergne and Clermont Auvergne Métropole.
