Christian At completed his PhD at the University of Franche-Comté (France). He was an Associate Professor at the University of Lyon 2 for two years before returning to the University of Franche-Comté as a Professor through the agrégation process. He then joined the Centre for Research in Economic Strategies (CRESE), which he led from 2008 to 2011. He is also an expert for HCERES and ANR (French Research National Agency).
His research focuses on contract theory which he applies to corporate finance, law economics and more recently, agricultural and environmental economics.
He has published in notable journals such as Economic Theory, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Law, Economics and Organization and American Journal of Agricultural Economics.
