Arouna Zorome presented his research at the RES 2025

Arouna ZOROME was in Birmingham this week to participate in the Royal Economic Society Annual Conference.

He discussed his paper: « Measuring Countries’ Exposure to Foreign Natural Disasters using Structural Trade Dependence », coauthored with Michaël Goujon (CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne) and Ahmed Tritah (Université de Poitiers, Institut des Migrations, Mines ParisTech). The University of Birmingham funded his participation in the conference. 

Arouna is a PhD student in Economics at the Université Clermont Auvergne - Cerdi and at the Chair of “Industrial Economics for Emerging Africa”. This research chair is jointly held by the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) and the Mines Paris-Tech PSL. Arouna works on the economic costs of climate change for developing countries.
