A postdoctoral Position is open at the International Research Centre of Disaster Science and Sustainable Development (IRC2D)

The International Research Centre of Disaster Science and Sustainable Development (IRC2D) hosted by Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship. The IRC2D supports pluridisciplinary research projects on natural disasters and sustainable development, including research projects conducted at the CERDI on the socio-economic consequences of natural catastrophes. Our team focuses on the study of volcanic eruptions in developing countries, as well as vulnerability and resilience. 

Applicants with research projects based on innovative data and/or data science are welcome to apply.

Contract can start as early as 1 st February 2026, and certainly before 1 st October 2026.
