Work time reduction for degrowth

Ph.D. Scholarship: Work time reduction for degrowth

The I-Site Clermont Auvergne Project and the OPCD are offering a three-year PhD scholarship on the topic of degrowth and work.

Supervisors : Arnaud Diemer (CERDI, Centre d'excellence Jean Monnet sur le développement durable, OPCD) and Timothée Parrique (Lund University).

Profil : Master in economy-related disciplines such as economics, political economy, economic sociology, economic anthropology, economic history, etc. Applicants should be fairly knowledgeable about degrowth (a research work on degrowth carried out during the master's degree is definitely a plus).

Candidates should have experience in working with empirical research and strong quantitative skills. Applicants with a Master's degree in Systems Dynamics (using Stella or Vensim) are encouraged to apply.

Applications should be sent to Arnaud.DIEMER@uca.fr

  • a preliminary research plan;
  • a letter of motivation;
  • a CV;
  • two letters of recommendation

The deadline for applications is June 10, 2022
