We are glad to welcome Marion Ravit to the team. She is an international expert in health issues at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development.

We are pleased to welcome Marion Ravit as a Research Fellow, an expert in international health issues, who is a researcher at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development. She has been working with our team for years.  

A significant expertise in research on women’s health economics  

She has strong expertise in epidemiology, maternal health and health economics, she conducts research on health care access and health inequalities in the Global South, mostly in Africa and Asia. She has special skills in impact evaluation and data management. Furthermore, she holds a PhD in Public Health from Sorbonne Université. Previously, she obtained a Master in health economics at the School of Economics, Université Clermont Auvergne.  

She has participated and supervised several international research projects (Quali-Dec, maternal health care prepayment in Cameroon) funded by Horizon 2020, the WHO, or the AFD Group. Her practical experience covers more than seven countries. She was awarded a price for her innovative research by the Université Paris Cité, she is also a member of the evaluation committee of the EHESP, the French National School of Public Health.  

Ongoing research projects 

She is now in Manille, where she develops a research project on menstrual hygiene and period poverty to find sustainable solutions. 

She also works with Martine Audibert in the framework of the PAIRES research program, a joint program of the IRD and AFD Group. They supervise an impact evaluation on maternal health care prepayment in Cameroon.  

She will be able to share her expertise on global health issues, participative science and as a practitioner with the team and pursue new research projects.
