The Global Development Network's annual conference will be held from October 28 to 30, 2025, at Hall 32, 32 rue du Clos Four in Clermont-Ferrand.  

The theme of the conference will be “Inclusive Digital Transformation: Social Impacts and Technological Innovation.” This conference is organized by the members of the Clermont International Development Hub, which includes the Global Development Network, the FERDI, and also, the CERDI, and the School of Economics of the Université Clermont Auvergne (CERDI).  

Participation of our scientists:

  • Simone Bertoli (UCA, CERDI) will lead a plenary session on digital finance: “Digital Finance for All? Innovations, Risks, and Regulation in LIMCs” (October 29, 11:30 a.m.).
  • Pierre Biscaye (UCA, CERDI) will moderate a parallel session: “The Digital Economy: Transforming Firms, Trade, and Labor” (October 29, 4:00 p.m.).
  • Michaël Goujon (Deputy Director of CERDI, Professor, Clermont Auvergne University), who has been providing technical support to the GDN's Doing Research Assessment capacity-building program since 2018, will participate in a workshop dedicated to the impact of digitalization on research.
  • Jordan Loper (UCA, CERDI) will host a discussion on “Digital Governance for Inclusive Development” (October 30, 2:00 p.m.).
  • Grégoire Rota-Graziosi (UCA, CERDI) will chair a session organized by Ferdi and CERDI on “Domestic Revenue Mobilization and Digitalization” (October 28, 4:00 p.m.).

Simone Bertoli (Director of CERDI, Professor, UCA) and Vianney Dequiedt (Scientific Director FERDI, Professor, UCA) are members of the Advisory Board of the conference.

Our Research Fellows—Thomas Cantens, Joël Cariolle, Johanna Choumert-Nkolo, Luc Leruth, and Florian Léon—will also be actively engaged in the discussions throughout the three-day event.
