EADI/IEDES Seminar

The International Seminar of Development Studies Institute will be held  in Paris on Thursday, March 31st, 2022.

This one-day seminaris organized by Institut d'études du développement de la Sorbonne (IEDES) and the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) in collaboration with The Cerdi, the Groupement d'intérêt scientifique pour l'étude de la mondialisation et du développement (GEMDEV) and Agence française de développement (AFD).

Three round-tables: 

• 'Travelling models’ and their contexts;
• Local governance of crises in the Sahel: Security and displaced persons in partnership with the Chaire Unesco Défis partagés du développement : savoir, comprendre, agir ;
• Multidisciplinarity in Development studies: Opportunities, challenges and realities. 

Elsa Gautrain, will participate in the discussion on multidisciplinarity in development research that will bring together doctoral students from the EADI network. Based on their own experience, they will debate how to conduct a PhD thesis in a multidisciplinary institutional context.
