Digital trust: a prerequisite for Africa's emergence
The École nationale supérieure de statistique et d'économie appliquée (ENSEA) will host an international conference on Digital Trust on 29-30 November 2023. This event, jointly organized with the FERDI, will be held on-site and online.
This event is included in the FERDI's Chair on Digital Trust program, which focuses on technological solutions for digital development in Africa. The research team also contributes to the research on digitisation and access to essential services, business financing, and job creation.
Jenny Aker (Tufts University, FERDI) and Joël Cariolle (Ferdi, CERDI) will present their upcoming book on Mobile phone and Development in Africa: Does the Evidence meet the hype?
Wednesday, November 29, 2 pm: Grégoire Rota-Graziosi (CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne, Ferdi) and Thomas Cantens (World Customs Organization, Cerdi) will take part in the roundtable on Public revenue mobilisation and digitalisation.
Thursday, November 30, 10 am: Yasmina Elkhateeb (Université Panthéon Sorbonne and Cairo University) will present her paper on (Mis-)information technology : Internet use and perception of democracy in Africa (coauthors: Joel Cariolle and Mathilde Maurel (Université Panthéon Sorbonne).
