Using annual data on banking indicators for 672 banks (275 banks in Switzerland; 383 banks in France and 14 banks in Cameroon) over the period 2003-2021, a battery of econometric estimation techniques and a comparative approach between post-conflict (Cameroon) and peace states (Switzerland and France), this proposal aims to qualitatively and quantitatively assess the level of resilience to macroeconomic shocks in the said three different banking zones; and highlight some major alternative policies that could be implemented. Specifically, we intend to investigate how and at which level macroeconomic shocks affect the banking sector. For a contribution to the existing literature review, we go beyond the analyses of the resilience of one country to shock management without any spatial reference by making a comparison with countries from other regions.
