Résumé
The aim of this study is to assess the impact of international migration on health outcomes in Africa. We also examine potential transmission channels, namely: the diffusion of new information and communication technologies, education, remittances, government expenditures and vaccination. Our analysis focuses on data from the International Organization for Migration and a sample of 33 countries observed over the period 1990–2024. The study employs a dynamic panel model estimated using the system generalized method of moments. To address endogeneity, we also apply the two-stage least squares approach, using instruments derived from two sources: a pseudo-gravity model and the shift-share method.
