Alima Traore and Adrien Gosselin-Pali received the best poster awards at the 6th International Conference on Development Economics (ICDE). This two-day conference was co-organized by AFEDEV, the French Association of Development Economics and the University of Rouen Normandy.

Two well-deserved prizes for two promising young researchers!

Alima Traore is a PhD candidate at the Université Clermont Auvergne. She is preparing a dissertation on tax expenditures and the fiscal contract. She explores how tax incentives affect the willingness of businesses and citizens to comply with their tax duties. Her research is part of the TEFISCON program, a French-German project supported by the ANR, the French Agency, and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The project is supervised by Christian von Haldenwang (IDOS) and Jean-François Brun (UCA, Cerdi).

Adrien Gosselin-Pali, who is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Namur, obtained his PhD in Economics from the Université Clermont Auvergne early last year. He did his doctoral studies in our Department and defended is thesis titled Nutrition, migration and family economics in developing countries : three essays in February 2025. He focuses his research on nutrition in Sub-Saharan Africa, a topic at the junction of health economics and family economics.

Congratulations to both of them!
