Abdelmalek Riad, new Research Fellow at the CERDI

Abdelmalek Riad, an economic expert of digital taxation, joins our department.
We are delighted to welcome Abdelmalek Riad, Vice President of Ascoria International, a company specializing in the conception and implementation of digital taxation solutions. He notably works on the economic evaluation of the digital economy and the normative design of digital services taxation. He advises and accompanies several governments in modernising tax frameworks and also provides technological tools to tax administrations to facilitate and improve resource mobilization and revenues.
Abdelmalek Riad holds a degree in law and economics. He is a graduate of the ENS Paris-Saclay. Previously, he worked for the French Treasury, where he oversaw financial and multilateral relations with French-speaking countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, assisting them in the anticipation of the IMF’s program implementation and fiscal assistance.
