Henri Sourgou is joining the Université Clermont Auvergne to work on the WHITECYCLE project

Henri Sourgou is now a data engineer at the Université Clermont Auvergne. He is assigned to the CERDI to work on the Horizon 2020 WHITECYCLE project with Arnaud Diemer and Tipawan Durand. Michelin is leading a consortium of 15 international partners who are working on developing a circular solution for recycling plastics into new products.

Our team's role is to assess the economic, social, and environmental impacts of the solution to upcycle PET materials.

Henri Joël Sourgou did a doctorate in economics at the Université Clermont Auvergne, CERDI. He wrote a doctorate thesis on the sustainability of food systems in developing countries using the Integrated Sustainable Development Goals (iSDG) model. This tool defines different scenarios to assess the implementation of sustainable policies. Henri uses the iSDG model to analyze food policy in Burkina Faso at the country and local levels.
