Kick-off workshop of the TEFISCON project at IDOS

Jean-François Brun and Damien Cubizol (CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne) were in Bonn for the kick-off workshop of the TEFISCON project. Emilie Caldeira (CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne) and Alima Traoré attended online. 

This workshop took place at IDOS from September 13 to September 15, 2023. This meeting was organized by the German team of the project: Christian von Haldenwang, Armin von Schiller, Sabine Laudage, and Maximilian Fasold. International partners from Colombia, Morocco, Uganda, and Zimbabwe attended online. 

A team of three researchers from the Council on Economic Policies in Zürich was also present in Bonn. They previously cooperated with the IDOS team to build the Global Tax Expenditures Database (GTED).  

These meetings were the opportunity to discuss the core concepts of the project, research work packages, the scope of cooperation with international partners, and other aspects such as project management, data use policy, and communication. Thanks to the expertise of all partners and exchanges between the different teams, the workshop was very insightful and laid the foundations of this three-year funded project.
